In 2019, a new study design for Units 1 and 2 Italian will be implemented with Units 3 and 4 to follow in 2020. In this workshop, we will explore together the changes in the study design across all four units with a view to equipping you to provide your students with the best possible learning experiences. A dedicated analysis of the new study design will allow you to begin to plan a scope and sequence for your program and to modify your existing practice and resources to satisfy the requirements of this new study design. We will also look at some freshly developed samples of units of work and assessment tasks which both respond to the new study design but also prepare students of VCE Italian to continue their study beyond year 12. The workshop will have a balance of presentational and practical content and you will need to bring examples of your current VCE program as well as one or two units of work/assessment items that you would like to work on during the workshop. You will come away from the workshop with an up-to-date understanding of the new VCE Italian as well as a range of tools and materials to develop your program further.
