The Critical Agendas team is proud to welcome Leigh Waters to present Classroom Management (from Restorative Practices to Honest Reinforcement) this coming Monday (March 5) in Melbourne, Victoria.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Leigh Waters B.Ed, MA (Writing), Grad Dip Performing Arts, Cert Spiritual Direction, Cert Mental Health Adult and Cert Mental Health Adolescent along with many PDs and competencies.
She has worked in Applied Education successfully for over a decade and in other educational contexts for more than 25 years.
From the challenging set up stages of any classroom, through to keeping existing programs fresh and engaging she believes the secret of a successful classroom is spending time planning the development of healthy relationships and ensuring that the students feel ownership over their environment and over their own progress.
Creating harmony and learning from conflict are opportunities to be used, rather than feared.
Leigh has worked in leadership roles for decades. Curriculum Development, Course Development (including Rites of Passage), Director of Development, VCAL Educator, Team Leader, Mentor to Educators and Speaker/Presenter on Leadership and Applied Education programs and techniques nationally and internationally.
She has worked with students who have experienced considerable trauma and with students who no longer engage with mainstream institutions.
Leigh also works with students who have experienced considerable privilege.
